What is Farmoury?

What is Farmoury?

Farmoury is a way to buy fresh food directly from local farms without needing it delivered to your door. You pick a nearby collection point — somewhere you already go, like a pub or a local shop — and your food is ready there for you to collect. The farms bring it to the venue, and you pop in when it suits you.

How does it work?

You start by picking a collection point near you — a local pub, shop, cafe or community venue that's signed up with Farmoury. Once you've chosen your spot, you can see what's available from the farms that supply it. Add what you want to your basket, pay online, and the farmer will pack it up and bring it to your collection point. Once it arrives and is scanned in, you'll be notified and you can go and collect it.

Is this a subscription box?

No, nothing like that. You buy what you want, when you want it. There's no weekly box, no minimum order, and nothing you have to cancel if you go on holiday. It's just like shopping, but from local farms instead of a supermarket.

Is this like a veg box scheme?

Not quite. With a veg box you get whatever the farm decides to send that week. With Farmoury you browse and pick exactly what you want — same as online shopping. And instead of it coming to your door, you collect it from a local spot that suits you.

Why do I have to pick a collection point before I can see what's for sale?

Because each collection point is supplied by different local farms. What's available at one venue might be different from another. So you choose your pickup spot first, and then you see the produce from the farms that actually deliver there — everything you can see, you can genuinely get.

Can I get food delivered to my house?

Not through Farmoury. The whole idea is that you collect from a local venue — it keeps things simpler, cheaper, and means the farms aren't doing dozens of individual doorstep drops. You pick up from somewhere nearby instead.

When is it launching?

We're building the network right now and signing up farms and collection points around the UK. Join the waitlist and we'll let you know as soon as it's ready in your area. Signing up takes two minutes and there's no commitment.

Is it available in my area?

We're rolling out across the whole of the UK. Sign up to the waitlist and you'll be the first to hear when there's a collection point near you.

The Food

What kind of food can I buy?

All sorts. Vegetables, fruit, meat, poultry, dairy, eggs, honey, bread, preserves, jams, herbs, drinks, and more. It depends on which farms supply your local collection point, but the range grows as more producers join.

Is it just fruit and veg?

Not at all. Yes, there's plenty of fresh fruit and veg, but you can also find meat, dairy, eggs, bread, honey, preserves, and drinks depending on what farms near you are producing. We cover a wide range of locally made food.

Is the food organic?

Some of it is, some isn't — it depends on the individual farm. Every listing is clearly labelled, so you'll always know. If organic is important to you, you can filter to show only certified organic produce.

Can I filter by organic, free range, grass fed?

Yes. You can filter the products you see by organic, free range, pasture raised, or grass fed. Each farm labels their own produce honestly, so what you see is what they've declared.

Who actually grows or makes the food?

Real local farmers and food producers list their own products directly on Farmoury. You can see who made what — there are no middlemen buying and reselling produce, it comes straight from the people who grew it.

Where does the food come from?

From farms and producers local to you. Farmoury is built around short supply chains — the food you buy comes from producers who supply your chosen local collection point, so it hasn't done hundreds of miles in a lorry before it gets to you.

Is the food seasonal?

Yes, naturally so. What's available will change through the year because it comes from real farms growing real food. That's a good thing — food in season tastes better and is better for you.

Cost and Payment

Is it expensive?

Prices are set by each producer and tend to be honest, fair prices for quality local food. You're not paying supermarket markups and the farmer keeps far more of what you pay. It's not a budget option but you're getting something genuinely better.

Is there a membership fee or joining cost?

None at all. Creating an account is free and there's no subscription. You only pay for what you actually buy.

How do I pay?

Online when you place your order — by card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Payment is handled securely by Stripe, the same technology used by thousands of businesses. You never pay anything at the collection point itself, it's all sorted before you go.

Do I pay at the collection point or online?

Always online when you place your order. The farmer then prepares and delivers it to your collection point — once it's there and you've been notified, you pop in during their opening hours and collect it. No cash, no card machine involved at any point.

Is there a minimum order?

No minimum. Order one item or a full week's shop, it's entirely up to you.

Collection Points

What is a collection point?

A collection point is a local venue — a pub, a shop, a cafe, a community centre, a farm shop — that's agreed to hold orders for Farmoury customers. The farm drops your order off there, and you pop in to collect it when you're ready. It's a place you probably already pass by.

What kind of places can I collect from?

Pubs, independent shops, cafes, restaurants, community centres, village halls, farm shops — all sorts. They're real local businesses that have signed up to be part of the Farmoury network.

Can I collect from my local pub?

If your local pub has signed up as a collection point, yes! Pubs are actually one of our favourite types of collection points — they're in the heart of communities, they have the space, and picking up your weekly shop from the local is a pretty lovely thing.

Can I shop from more than one collection point?

Not in one order, no. Each order is tied to a single collection point because that's where your food is physically delivered. Once you've got items in your basket from one collection point, you're set for that shop. If you wanted to order from a different location, you'd need to do a separate order.

Can I change which collection point I'm shopping from?

Yes, but only before you've added anything to your basket. Once you've started shopping at one collection point, your basket is tied to that location — the map won't let you switch while you've got things in there. If you want to start fresh with a different collection point, you'd need to empty your basket first, and then you can choose again.

What if there's no collection point near me?

Sign up to the waitlist and we'll notify you when one appears in your area. And if you know a local pub, shop or cafe that might want to get involved, point them our way — the more collection points that sign up, the sooner we can reach more people.

Do I need to be there at a specific time to collect?

You need to wait until you've been notified that your order has arrived at the collection point — the farmer has to pack it and bring it there first, which takes some time after you order. Once you get the notification, you can collect any time during that venue's normal opening hours. Each collection point lists its hours on its profile. No waiting in for a delivery window — you go when it suits you.

Signing Up

Do I need to create an account?

You can browse and even add things to your basket without signing in. You'll only need an account when it's time to pay. Creating one is quick and free.

What do I get by joining the waitlist?

You'll be the first to know when Farmoury is available near you. No spam, just a heads-up when it's ready in your area. That's it.

Will you sell my email address or spam me?

Absolutely not. We only contact you about Farmoury. We'll never share your details or send you anything you didn't ask for. You can unsubscribe anytime.

What's my data used for?
