Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 2026
This policy explains what personal information Farmoury collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We try to keep this straightforward and honest.
Who we are
Farmoury is an online marketplace platform connecting local food producers with local buyers via community-based collection points. We operate this website at farmoury.co.uk. You can contact us at hello@farmoury.co.uk.
What we collect and why
Waitlist signups. When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address, your name if you provide it, your interest type (buyer, collection point, or producer), and optionally a postcode so we can tell you when we launch in your area. We use this to send you launch updates. We don’t use it for anything else.
Usage data. We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site. This collects anonymised data about page visits, browser type, and approximate location. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
Emails you send us. If you contact us by email, we’ll keep that correspondence to respond to you.
Who we share data with
We use the following services to run the platform:
- Listmonk — our self-hosted mailing list manager, which stores your waitlist subscription. This runs on infrastructure we control.
- Amazon SES — used to send confirmation emails when you join the waitlist.
- Google Analytics — anonymised website analytics.
- Coolify / Hetzner — our hosting infrastructure, located in the EU.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not share it with any party not listed here, except where legally required.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@farmoury.co.uk and we will respond within 30 days.
You can unsubscribe from waitlist emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send you.
Data retention
We keep waitlist data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. We keep email correspondence for as long as it’s relevant to the matter discussed, and delete it after that.
Security
We use HTTPS for all data in transit. Our mailing infrastructure is self-hosted within the EU. No method of internet transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.
Cookies
We use a single analytics cookie (Google Analytics) and a local storage value to remember your dark/light mode preference. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without losing access to the site.
Children
Our services are not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we’ll update the date at the top and, where reasonable, notify waitlist subscribers.
